I can hardly wait for spring! I have had enough of all the cold weather! It’s definitely been a way colder winter for us in Texas this year! I wanted to pop in and share some of my favorite spring items on my wishlist currently! Clearly loving lots of color and tassels this spring! What is your favorite spring trend?!
Happy February! This past weekend was crazy pretty weather-wise…can you believe I wore an off the shoulder floral romper Sunday?! It was sunny and 75! We ended up going to brunch for my friend’s 30th birthday and then to Rainey in Austin after! So much fun! It was short lived though, because it’s back to sweater weather all week! This fleece off the shoulder sweater is from last year, and it’s one of my all-time favorites! They brought it back again this year, because it was SO popular…and brought it back in even more colors! It’s a fleece material, so it’s crazy soft! Some of the colors are on sale right now too, so it’s the perfect time to grab it if it’s been on your wishlist!
This weekend is going to be another birthday filled weekend! I’m pretty sure we have birthday celebrations every weekend until April…it seems all of my friends are Feb/March babies including myself! I’m also going to be attending a brunch with one of my favorite lifestyle brands, so follow along on snapchat to see all of the fun festivities – katlynmaupin.
Y’all loved this outfit when I shared it on Instagram a couple weeks ago, so I wanted to do a full outfit post on it! This pleated maxi skirt has always been one of my faves! It’s so hard to find maxi skirts that check all the boxes – flattering, long, and on trend! I have this skirt in several colors now – it’s so good! The price is crazy too (in the best way)! It’s under $30, but definitely looks way more expensive! The quality is surprisingly really good! It’s one of those skirts that you can wear year-around too, which is always a plus! I love the idea of pairing a pleated maxi skirt with a cropped sweater for the winter…the different textures are so pretty together! It would look so gorgeous in the warmer months with a lacy crop or cami!
I’d say it does run just a tiny bit small…I’m usually a 0 and am wearing the small…there’s not a ton of room in the waistband, so I would say if you’re a 4-6, size up to a medium. Let me know if you have any questions about sizing!
Initially when I photographed this high slit bodycon dress, I intended to share it as an option for a Christmas party (peep the Christmas wreaths hanging on the windows), but life got a little crazy and I never got around to posting it…so now it’s a Valentine’s Day dress post! Haha! I wanted to share it regardless of the awkward Christmas wreaths in the background, because this dress is one of my all-time favorites! It’s insanely flattering (totally sucks you in!), and the length combined with the slit adds the perfect amount of sexiness without being too “in your face” about it! I was so surprised when I saw it’s only $31, so I went back and bought it in 3 other colors too! The red color is perfect for Valentine’s Day date night with your signifiant other or “Galentine’s” for a night out with your girlfriends! It runs pretty TTS – I’m wearing the size 0 for reference, so I would just go with your normal size!
What are y’all’s Valentine’s Day plans?! Dylan refuses to tell me, but we’ve gone to see the 50 Shade’s movies on Valentine’s the past two years since that’s the day they release, so maybe that’s a tradition now? Haha! I’m excited to see the third one! I wasn’t super impressed with the first, but I did Continue Reading
So maybe I’m crazy…but I thought the leaves were supposed to turn during fall? Mid January and we finally got [scarce patches] of pretty fall leaves! I was just a little excited! Haha! Blogging is so hard during winter months, because everything is dead, but we also don’t have pretty leaves OR snow on the ground like most states! 99% chance I’ll just spend next fall/winter traveling and chasing pretty scenery! Haha!
Y’all are probably going to get sick of this chenille sweater real quick, but I am IN LOVE! Not gonna lie, I think I’ve worn it at least once a week for the past month! It’s the softest thing EVER! I also love the color. I went back and snagged it in all of the other colors too…it’s just that good! It’s oversized also, so you can wear it with leggings when you’re trying to feel extra cozy! It also looks super cute with a front tuck into white denim though for the spring transition! The best part is that it’s ON SALE for only $39 currently! I linked some of my other favorite chenille sweaters below!
