YOU GUYS, YOU GUYS! I’m back! Holy moly. These past 2 weeks have been an absolute hot mess. Long story short, I got locked out of my blog and have been going back and forth trying to get access again, and I FINALLY got it back this morning. As if I needed more stress on top of planning a wedding! Lol! Thank y’all so much for hanging in there with me during this break while I sorted this all out!
Now that I’ve been gone a hot minute, we are now only 32 days out! THIRTY-FREAKIN-TWO! Omg. I’m so excited and slightly panicking all at once. We got out vow books in last week (we are writing our own vows, because I enjoy making everything in life more difficult), and we got our guestbook in yesterday! I posted a video of it on Instagram Stories last night – I LOVE the way it turned out! I also had my final two fittings for my wedding dress and picked it up! I was actually supposed to have my bridals done tomorrow, but the weather is playing games, so we will probably have to reschedule it for next week! I can’t believe how close everything is getting! Ahhh!
I couldn’t wait to share my invitations until after the wedding, so ta-da! You get to see them early! Just please don’t try to crash my wedding. I wish I could invite all 150,000 of y’all, but the venue owner might actually murder me! Haha! But really.
I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted my invitations to look like, so I immediately started scouring Minted’s website for the perfect invitation for a black-tie wedding that would compliment a gold foil overlay and blush bow. I was shocked by how many options there were! Minted is the holy grail of wedding invitations…not even kidding! They have over 1200 options to fit any kind of wedding you may be having! This invitation guide is super helpful when adding all of the wedding details to your invitation…I was seriously so worried I would forget something! I also loved that Minted offered FREE envelope addressing, so I didn’t have to worry about hiring a calligraphy after the invitations were done! I didn’t realize how much work invitations actually are between gathering addresses, etc! It’s easy to get unorganized and stressed out, so this Wedding Guest List from WeddingWire will be a godsend when planning your wedding! It organizes your names, addresses, RSVP’s, gifts, etc …everything all in one place!
After our invitations came in, we backed them with blush cardstock (we got ours at Hobby Lobby, but you can also find cardstock at Michael’s or most other craft stores), embellished them withgold doilies, and finished them off with a blush bow to match our wedding colors. I love how they turned out! Invitations are the first impression that guests will have for what they can expect the wedding to be like, so I hope I was able to capture how elegant, romantic and luxe our big day will be!
We are closing in on close to 50 days out from the wedding day…AHHH! I’m so excited! I wanted to share some wedding inspiration that I’ve loved when planning our wedding day. My vision for the wedding was for it to be timeless, soft, romantic, and elegant…I can’t wait for y’all to see photos/our wedding video! It’s going to be truly breathtaking and the best day ever… Continue Reading
Okay, so I’m only a litttttttleeeee late on sharing these, but I wanted to share more engagement photos that were taken back in April besides the few I had already shared on Instagram! It’s so weird seeing my hair so light…I’ve gotten so used to how it is now! I feel like I look so different! Haha!
We shot these with The Bird and The Bear in Austin and had so much fun doing it! I was prancing through the woods in the sparkliest gold gown and louboutins…I felt like I could’ve been filming a music video running through the woods for some mushy gushy love song! Lol! The Bird and The Bear will also be photographing us on our wedding day, so I’ve started looking at poses and shots I love on Pinterest that I want to be sure I get! There are so many different photos with different people I will have to make sure to get that day! This guide from WeddingWire gives an awesome breakdown of the general timeline you will need to have to make sure you get your before-ceremony and post-ceremony photos! It’s super helpful when planning which photos you need to get at which times – especially if you are doing a sunset ceremony like I am and everything has to be very precise time-wise!
Today, I am heading to my first fitting for my wedding dress! I’m not even going to lie, I’m slightly nervous. When I originally got fitted, I was about 10 pounds heavier so we ordered a size down knowing I was going to lose a little weight, but I tried it on and it’s WAY big still. I’m sure the seamstress will work her magic, but holy moly, stress level 1000! There are a few other tweaks too that I need to make also to the dress, so hopefully all goes as planned today!
Ahhhh! I’m so excited about this new blog series! I’m going to be talking weddings for the next TEN Wednesday’s leading up to my wedding! To kick off my Wedding Wednesday series, I wanted to share my Save the Dates with y’all! I am so excited to partner with Minted Weddings for several aspects of my wedding! If you haven’t heard of Minted, it’s basically a jackpot for everything you need in life. But seriously! Haha! They have everything from home decor, to party supplies, to wedding goodies! The website is so user friendly and allows you to customize everything to your liking!
I played around with a ton of different photo options from our engagement session + Save the Date designs (there are over 1,000 to choose from!), and finally decided on this one! I love how it turned out! I knew I for sure wanted to go for a fancier look with the gold foil-pressed lettering…it’s even prettier in person! There will be a lot of gold tied into our actual wedding day, so I wanted to incorporate a touch of that into our Save the Dates. One of my favorite parts about Minted is that they do everything for you! They offer custom FREE envelopes and address printing with your purchase, which means no paying a calligrapher to do it by hand! We actually looked into calligraphy before realizing Minted did it for free and holy moly, it’s pricey! I’m so glad they offered it! One less thing to worry about doing in all the craziness of wedding planning! I can’t wait to share with y’all everything else I have designed for my wedding with Minted…everything is so beautiful!
It’s just a wedding kind of week, y’all! I feel like I scoured Pinterest for hours and hours searching for the perfect way to ask the guys to be in the wedding party (because let’s be honest, your future husband will probably be pretty useless in taking care of all this kinda stuff…which means you will have to take the reigns)!I came across Urban Farmhouse Tampa on Etsy, and it was like hitting a wedding gold mine! They have over 900 personalized unique gifts perfect for all aspects of your wedding from groomsman gifts, bridesmaid gifts, engagement gifts, FOB and MOB gifts, and other miscellaneous wedding goodies! We finally decided on the engraved wooden box flask set and the personalized beer glasses…because if there’s one thing these guys are good at, it’s drinking! Haha! They were such a hit and all of the guys were so excited about them!
