You may have seen on my Instagram or snapchat (@katlynmaupin) that Dylan and I road tripped to Florida yesterday! We will be here for a little over a week, and I couldn’t be more excited! It’s so beautiful here! I thought it would be helpful to share some of my favorite tips for when you are packing your suitcase (which PS mine is ON SALE over 50% off for the next couple days)! I always have to be really strategic when packing, because I am a serial over-packer, y’all! I need to take some lessons from y’all who can only pack 2 pairs of shoes and one handbag…seriously, though…HOW DO Y’ALL DO IT?! Haha!
1. Roll, Don’t Fold: One of my favorite tips to packing as much as possible into one suitcase is rolling your clothing! It helps conserve SO much space, and it also helps with the nasty wrinkles that come with folding clothing!
2. Compact When Possible: I also try to bring compact items as much as possible! I absolutely love this Panasonic blow dryer! It fold into itself, so it’s a huge space saver! I usually have issues with smaller dryers’ quality, so I was a little nervous, but I’ve been so impressed with it! The Panasonic uses canoe technology that prevents the hair from being stripped of it’s moisture – keeping it smoother, softer, and shinier!
3. Stack Around Hats: This is one of my favorite tips! I always have several hats I bring with me on my trips, and I don’t want them to lose their shape! To prevent damaging them, I put them in my suitcase first, then place all of my rolled clothing around it so that it acts almost as a cushion!
4. Liquids in Baggies: Y’all…if you don’t take away any of these tips…PLEASE use this one! I can’t even count on one hand how many times it finally took me to learn this lesson! Haha! I’ve had nail polish remover explode in my bag, hair spray, shampoo, nail polish…ugh…the list goes on! You think you have lids screwed on, but NOPE! I swear, they always find a way to come off and make an absolute disaster of everything in your bag!
