Our Wedding Day – Part 1: Rehearsal Dinner and Bridal Brunch…

Rehearsal Austin, TX Villa Del LagoAhhh! I’m so excited to start sharing with y’all some of my favorite moments from our wedding weekend! Everything went {almost} too seamlessly…I was honestly not expecting to be as calm and relaxed as I was all weekend. Everything was just perfect from start to finish! A ton of family came in a few days before the wedding, so we got to spend some QT with everyone before the craziness! Saturday morning before the wedding, my mom had put together a nail salon day with me and all my bridesmaids/women in the wedding party at Avalon Nail Salon! I grew up going to that salon – they are the sweetest souls ever! They shut down the salon for us, and we had mimosas + tons of light bites! It was so much fun! We had our rehearsal run through that afternoon at our venue. My aunt made my cute little bouquet for the rehearsal (pictured above) out of all of my ribbons and bows from my bridal shower. It was so special!

Ps. These are the epitome of “low quality photos, high quality memories”…lol! I couldn’t help but share some of the special moments before my photographer took over the rest of the photos though!

Rehearsal Dinner Austin, TX The County LineWe had our rehearsal dinner at The County Line in Austin off of the lake. It was the perfect setting! There were strung globe lights, the perfect view, and so much family we love surrounding us! Oh – and AMAZZZZING BBQ #texaswedding

My mom had put together a video for the rehearsal dinner of Dylan and I that we all got to watch! It was so special!

That night, me and all my bridesmaids went to my aunts house to all spend the night together. We drank wine in bed, and I did lots of writing! I seriously procrastinated, so I stayed up till almost 3 AM writing my vows, a letter to Dylan and letters to both my parents, and his mom. I bawled the ENTIRE night writing them. You would’ve thought I got all my tears out that night and was in the clear for the wedding day…boy was I wrong!

I meant to change when I got to the venue, but I accidentally left my matching monogram sweater that I gifted my bridesmaids at the house…hence this adorable totally wedding-worthy tie dye tshirt…oops! Lol! We arrived at the venue at 9 AM the morning of the wedding to start hair and makeup! My aunt had put together the prettiest bridal brunch with tons of food and mimosas at the venue! I gave both my mom and his mom their wedding gifts during the brunch – their wedding jewelry, a bottle of personalized wine, and their letter that I wrote to them.

My mom and I have a really, really close relationship. She’s my best friend in the whole world, so giving her the letter I wrote was really special. Definitely one of my favorite moments of the weekend! She started reading the first couple of words and started bawling, so she asked me to read it. We were both crying our eyes out while I read her letter aloud…y’all…not just like a glistening tear…I’m talking full on, ugly crying SOBBING. I’m grateful that my ugly crying was not featured in these photos…however, I wasn’t so lucky the rest of the wedding day! Haha!
