Happy Wedding Wednesday! Today marks the FINAL Wedding Wednesday before the big day…EEEEK! I can’t believe it’s only 4 days away now! So crazy! We’ve gotten almost everything taken care of for the wedding now…we just need to write vows, wrap all of the gifts to family/bridal party and clean the house before family comes in tonight! I don’t know if I told y’all (I think I just told twitter?), but I got my bridals back and O.M.G. Y’all! They turned out so good! My photographer is a magician, I swear! The lighting is so stunning. I seriously just stare at them at least 5 times a day and squeal a little! Haha! Butterflies every freaking time I look at them! I can’t wait for Dylan to see me when I walk down the aisle!
Since today is the last Wedding Wednesday before wedding day, I thought it would only be appropriate to share my rehearsal dress! I feel like I bought at least 50, but this is the one I have decided on I think (well, as of today…anyone else have those last minute freak outs where they completely change their outfit and 129 things are on the floor by the time you finally leave the house?!). I found a ton of affordable options at Missguided, which has been one of my favorite retailers lately! They are having a 40% off sale too right now, so most options I linked below are in the $30-$40 range after discount!
For our rehearsal, we wanted to do something more laid back since the wedding is going to be so over the top, and we also wanted to do something that mirrored where our love story began – TEXAS! If you missed our wild and unconventional engagement story, Dylan and I actually met on social media in 2012. He ended up moving halfway across the country to Texas for me only 2 months after we met in person, and LOVES Texas now! Cowboy boots have become his shoe of choice, and Cody Johnson concerts have become our favorite date nights! Every time we walk into a store and he sees a cowboy hat, he tries to take it home with him…haha! I’m like babe, you’re from the beaches of Florida. You aren’t a cowboy. Lol! Anyways, we decided to do our rehearsal dinner at a cute little Texas BBQ place with a lake view called the County Line! It’s intimate and right on the water, so it’s perfect for our pre-wedding celebration! If you’re a little lost about where to host your rehearsal dinner, WeddingWire has some great suggestions for creative rehearsal dinners! And if you want to look up rehearsal dinner venues/restaurants in your area, they also have a great search tool that allows you to view options by zip code!
Lastly, I wanted to thank y’all for all of your sweet words and following along on this journey with me. I feel like I have the greatest friends in all of you, and I can’t wait to share our wedding day! I want to soak up these special moments as we near closer to the wedding day, so I will be signing off all social media Friday with the exception of snapchat and possibly twitter until we return from our honeymoon November 7th. I know how caught up I get on social media responding to Instagram comments, editing the photo filters so I have a “perfectly curated Instagram feed” and answering questions, so I wanted to move everything to snapchat where it’s more “in the moment.” I will be sharing photos and videos from my entire wedding weekend and honeymoon real-time on snapchat, so if you wanted to see a little behind the scenes, you can find it by searching “katlynmaupin”. Also, if you want to see my wedding photos when I return, feel free to turn on Instagram post notifications! I haven’t quite decided if I will share a sneak peak while on our layover at the airport or if I will wait until after the honeymoon to share my dress, but I will be sharing a ton of wedding photos post-honeymoon – I promise!
